A Message From The Artist
Crown of Worms (formed in Lima, Peru in 2002) are back with SORCERY RITES, our latest full length.
While our first album, Impalers March (2019), was based on music from the band´s first era (2004-2006 demos), this time we have unearthed ancient riffs, which combined with more recent compositions have given form to a solid 40-minute 6-track opus.
On this new chapter in our journey, our music has become more complex without compromising the principles from which the band was spawned and which brought us together again in 2016, after an 8-year hiatus.
On Sorcery Rites, the band’s morbid black thrash attack meets lyrics about an endless cyclic war that brings devastating hordes to take revenge on their holy captors. Rites of possession give place to a killing spree and pledging allegiance to obscurity becomes the only way of trespassing the boundaries of time and death.
The least expected return from the Peruvian underground is here: a relentless and devastating album. Beware!

More About the Album
Prepare yourself for an all-out black thrash attack. Crown of Worms are back, and they aren’t pulling any punches as they violently explode back onto the scene.
The band have come a long way since their inception and so has their sound and style. This album brings to the table a more polished and evolved offering with a higher level of complexity and technicality. Don’t worry though, the band’s love of raw aggression remains fully intact.
Raspy shrieked vocals meet barbed venomous riffs and furious blast beats over the span of 6-to-7-minute offerings. All of this comes together under the banner of endless war and spiritual rebellion.
The band have managed to find a sweet spot between thrash and black metal and were able to maintain the integrity of both while also forming a perfect unison of the two. Riff heavy, high-speed, high-energy thrash elements meld with the rawness, aggression and intensity of black metal to create a perfect storm.
If you’re a fan of violent, punishing music that you can still easily bang your head to, then you won’t want to miss Sorcery Rites and all of its morbid glory.
